£132,95
The Stone Spade with steps and openings is ideal for transplanting roses, shrubs and other bushes in rocky soils. The cutting edge is made from multiple sharpened teeth. This design increases the cutting edge which trap and cut the roots of roses and other plants effortlessly. This design increases the cutting edge by circa 30% compared to our normal spade. This version is produced with slits in the blade that ensures that soil and clay does not stick to the blade when working with this spade make it a lot less tiring to work with.

The design of the stone spade has been based on an idea of the famous English rose grower John Scarman. We make two versions of this handy tool: this version and a version without the slits in the blade. Both versions are available with a 90 cm or 100 cm ash T-handle or an 85cm D-handle.
