The design of the planting trowel dates back to the early 20th century and it is the ideal tool for digging planting holes. The planting trowel is hand-forged and sharpened on both sides, allowing you to work quickly and precisely. This Sneeboer trowel is also the favourite tool of the English TV gardener Monty Don.

Description

The weight of the planting trowel is concentrated in the blade, which makes it seem as though it is not properly balanced. However, the planting trowel is not intended for scooping or transplanting, but for making planting holes. Making a planting hole is easy: simply insert the trowel into the ground and move it back and forth. Sneeboer’s planting trowels are also used to plant the millions of bulbs at Keukenhof. The planting trowel is available with an ash or cherry wood handle in various lengths.
