To remove the weeds with long roots, you simply drive the dandelion digger into the soil with your foot with the weed inside the cone. Next, you turn the tool 45 degrees to one side and remove the planter from the soil which will keep the plug of soil including the weed and root. The weed can now be removed from the planter. The dandelion digger is available with a comfortable ash wood handle and sports a step to the side of the planter to apply force with your foot.
