Now that most of the formalities have been completed, we would like to announce that Jaap Sneeboer and Wilma Peelen have resigned from their positions after more than 35 years as directors of Sneeboer and have transferred these positions, with the ownership of the family business, to the fourth generation Sneeboer. Under management of their children Laura Sneeboer and Sjoerd Sneeboer, and with the dedication of the multiple family member that are employed, they will ensure that the company can grow in a sustainable way.
As such, the waterjet will be replaced on very short notice with a brand new, faster and more sustainable laser cutter (more information to follow soon) and we are exploring options to heat material with the use of induction instead of the old school coal fires. Combined with the electricity generated by our 332 solar panels, Sneeboer strives to make the production process even more sustainable.
The completion of the acquisition comes at a memorable moment as Sneeboer will celebrate its 110 year anniversary on the 30th of January 2023! As the fourth generation Sneeboer, Laura, Sjoerd and all the employees strive to produce the well-known Sneeboer tools of the highest quality while upholding the motto of founder Arie Sneeboer “if you are going to do something, make sure you do it right”.
