Dit gereedschap is bijzonder handig om diepgewortelde onkruiden te verwijderen uit volle borders, maar ook om de grond te beluchten en meststoffen te vermengen. De vorm van de wiedvork zorgt er bovendien voor dat de pols nauwelijks belast wordt. De wiedvork is bij uitstek geschikt om dicht bij de grond te werk te gaan, voor optimaal overzicht en precisie.
