Cette p\u00e9pini\u00e8re a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e en 1888 par Georg Arends \u00e0 Ronsdorf, en Allemagne. Bon nombre des plantes vivaces qu’il a cultiv\u00e9es ont re\u00e7u les plus hautes distinctions de la Royal Horticultural Society anglaise. La petite pelle \u00e0 plantes Arends a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9e vers 1920. Il s’agit \u00e0 la base d’une truelle de ma\u00e7onnerie destin\u00e9e \u00e0 un usage professionnel, perfectionn\u00e9e pour faciliter efficacement le travail au jardin. En collaboration avec Anja Maubach, petite-fille de Georg Arends, Sneeboer a remis cette petite pelle \u00e0 plante sur le march\u00e9, avec bien s\u00fbr de grandes attentes. La petite pelle \u00e0 planter Arends (Handspaten en allemand) est dot\u00e9e d’une lame large et pointue, id\u00e9ale pour percer le sol et creuser un trou de plantation.
