Dit plantschopje is speciaal ontwikkeld voor Arends vaste plantenkwekerij. In 1888 werd deze kwekerij opgezet door Georg Arends in Ronsdorf, Duitsland. Veel van zijn gekweekte vaste planten hebben de allerhoogste onderscheidingen gekregen van de Engelse Royal Horticultural Society. Rond 1920 werd het Arends plantschopje ge\u00efntroduceerd. De basis is een metseltroffel speciaal voor professioneel gebruik, doorontwikkeld om het werk in de tuin effici\u00ebnt te verlichten. In samenwerking met Anja Maubach, kleindochter van Georg Arends heeft Sneeboer dit plantschopje weer op de markt gebracht, met uiteraard heel enthousiaste verwachtingen.
